Anna Francke is an art historian working as research associate in the field of press and communications at the Institute Art Gender Nature. She studied art history and German literature at the University of Zurich and the Ecole Pratique des Hautes Etudes, Sorbonne, Paris. She worked as a research associate at Schaulager Basel for the exhibition and the catalog Bruce Nauman. Disappearing Acts (2018) amongst others, and at the Aargauer Kunsthaus, Aarau. From 2013 to 2017, she was co-curator of Le Foyer, a platform for conversations and exhibitions in Zurich where she did projects with Sabian Baumann, Katinka Bock, Benoît Maire, Sophie Nys, Pascal Schwaighofer, and Lena Maria Thüring amongst others. With Le Foyer she was nominated for the Swiss Art Awards of the Federal Office of Culture in 2016 and 2017. Anna Francke is co-editor of [f: la répète] (edition fink, 2017), Tulipmania (edition fink, 2016), and has published in Frieze d/e, Kunstbulletin and Tages-Anzeiger, among others. In addition, she was responsible for press relations at Kunsthalle Zürich as well as the 2019 Swiss Art Awards and the Prix Meret Oppenheim of the Federal Office of Culture.
