For Art Taaalkssss artists Axelle Stiefel and Guillaume Maraud discuss Anti-PhD, a recent project they conceived for the project space 1.1 in Basel (9 November – 4 December 2019). Resisting the traditional format of a group exhibition, they suggest an exhibition as a set of relations that are not yet established, referring to curatorial and artistic research rather than to an abstract category or entity, their project focuses on artists themselves, their lives and their modes of investigation. The result is based on relational collaboration and self-organization and uses theory in a non-orthodox and non-academic way.
