Nadja Solari studied fine arts at the Art Institute, FHNW Academy of Art and Design in Basel (Bachelor) and at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK (Master).
In her works, Nadja Solari reinterprets contradictions of a consumer society into a fragmented abstraction of the everyday. Her installations are often processual and combine the humorous and the oppositional.
Nadja Solari has shown her work in numerous group- and solo exhibitions such as Kunsthaus Baselland, Videofestival Szczecin, Townhouse Gallery Cairo, Tokyo Wonder Site, Platoon Seoul, Container Tokyo and the Swiss Art Awards. She has also received various grants and studio residencies such as the GCC Foundation Gyeonggi South Korea, Atelier Mondial Tokyo and Rotterdam or the Pro Helvetia Residency Cairo.
