Our Exhibitions

Art production and exhibition plays an important role in the activity of the lecturers, students and alumni of the Institute Art Gender Nature. Not only do we present special commissions from international artists and alumni at der TANK — our exhibition space on the Campus of the Arts —, we also produce numerous shows and projects involving people related to the Institute Art Gender Nature in other places in Switzerland and abroad. This section of our website provides an overview of current and past projects.

WE DO

Corona Kino

An online film platform

Corona Kino has been specially created to host two clusters of films: Managing Life and Ocean Nature. The contributions of Managing Life are about life and were filmed and produced primarily by students as well as alumnae and alumni of the Institute Art Gender Nature. Ocean Nature is a series of new commissions about the ocean produced by TBA21–Academy.

der TANK

der TANK is the Institute’s exhibition space on the Campus of the Arts at Dreispitz, Basel. It is a glass cube found at the core of a campus. The enclosed openness of der TANK acts as a metaphor for the Institute Art Gender Nature as a whole.
