Reto Pulfer

Reto Pulfer (born in Bern) grew up in Arlesheim (BL) and lives and works in Berlin. His expansive, immersive installations of fabrics and found material carry over into performances, novel texts, music and painting.

His monograph Zustandskatalog: Catalog of States and Conditions was published in 2017 by Sternberg Press in connection to five solo exhibitions in 2015-2016 at : the Centre d'Art Contemporain in Geneva; the Musée régional d'art contemporain Occitanie / Pyrénées-Méditerrannée, Sérignan; Spike Island, Bristol; the Centre international d'art et du paysage de l'île de Vassivière; Fórum Eugénio de Almeida, Évora. Further solo exhibitions were shown at Hollybush Gardens, London (2017); Espace d'Art Contemporain (les halles), Porrentruy (2016); sic! space for art, Lucerne (2014); Kunstverein Nürnberg - Albrecht Dürer Gesellschaft; and the Swiss Institute, New York (2013). His work was shown in group exhibitions at the X Bienal de Nicaragua; the Swiss Art Awards (2016); Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin (2015); Stroom, The Hague (2013); Extra City Kunsthal, Antwerp; MuHKA Museum of Contemporary Art, Antwerp; and the Kunsthalle Bern (2010).
