Simon Würsten

Simon Würsten was born in Lausanne. After completing his bachelor’s degree in humanities at the University of Lausanne he moved to Zurich in 2015, where he began his master’s degree at the University of Zurich, specializing in art history in a global context.
After completing several internships and projects in the arts he worked as a publishing manager for Art Basel between 2015 and 2017. Since spring 2017, he has been a research assistant in charge of public relations and a curatorial assistant at the TANK at the Institute of Art.
Currently, Simon Würsten is researching strategies of sustainability in contemporary art and preparing a master’s thesis on the topic. He also contributes to art publications and regularly guest-curates exhibitions in art spaces in Switzerland and abroad.
