Jeronimo Voss

Lecturer bachelor and master

Forum Kunst, artistic mentoring, writing mentoring

Jeronimo Voss studied visual art at Städelschule Academy of Fine Arts in Frankfurt am Main, where he still lives and works today.

His media installations are models of history and parallel worlds that blend the past, present and future into each other. His search for cosmopolitical perspectives on time and space beyond the common promises of progress is accompanied by astronomical hypotheses, questions about the collective preconditions of his practice, and an ever-recurrent debate on art as realism. Most recently, as a member of the Realism Working Group, Voss was involved in the founding of the collective SYNNIKA and its space for experimental practice and theory in Frankfurt’s Central Station district.

He has participated in numerous solo- and group shows in museums and institutions worldwide, including at the Galeria Boavista, Lissabon; FACT Liverpool; Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam; Galeria Municipal do Porto, Irish Museum of Modern Art, Dublin; Clark House Initiative, Mumbai; MOCA Belgrad; Wiener Secession; Fondazione Trussardi, Mailand; Lentos Museum, Linz; House of the World’s Cultures (HKW), Berlin; MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst Frankfurt am Main, Museum für Neue Kunst, Freiburg; Gallery Cinzia Friedlaender, Berlin and dOCUMENTA (13) in Kassel.
