Tabea Rothfuchs lives in Basel and creates moving images, media scenographies and interactive installations for theatre and performance. Various projects have led the visual artist to the Theater an der Wien, Theater Basel, Konzerthaus Berlin, Bolshoi Theatre Moscow, but also to the Museum der Kulturen Basel and on a research trip to Northern Iraq. She studied Visual Communication and Animation (BA) in Basel and Lucerne, as well as Transdisciplinarity (MA) in Zurich.

In 2016, the interactive installation Emergence was nominated for the Prix Ars Electronica in Linz. In 2020, the dance production 29 May 1913 – Le Sacre du Printemps won the FAUST theatre prize in the dance category. In 2021, the artistic research work by Tabea Rothfuchs I lost time and space. Where am I? – Narrating Chronic Pain will be published by the Zurich University of the Arts. Since March 2021, Tabea Rothfuchs is also part of the 3rd cycle format PEERS (program for emerging artistic researchers) at the Zurich University of the Arts ZHdK. From 2019 to 2021, the artist taught a basic year course at ETH Zurich in Karin Sander’s Department of Architecture and Art. The artist’s working method is characterized by a conscious – search movement between aesthetic visual language and conceptual engagement.
