At I Never Read, Art Book Fair Basel, the Institute Art Gender Nature will present two complementary aspects of its activity. One of our threads showcases collaborative work within the framework of the academy. The other supports the exchange between our students and their peers, activating networks of support to particularly relevant contexts.

Bibiana Nocker will present their self-made, collaborative fanzines, which combine poetry, personal writing, and images to address emotional states of loss and recovery. Working across sculpture, installation, performance, and writing, Nocker investigates the female body and identity in their complexity, dilemmas and dissolutions. Bringing together personal and anonymous accounts, the artist develops a raw, intense, and profoundly analytical reflection on contemporary society and the roles and stereotypes assigned to women. At I Never Read, Nocker collaborates with artist Fred Erne to produce a publication in which the intimate and the collective, the narrated and the experienced, come together and can be taken home by each visitor.

Plaque 27 is an independent platform based in Tehran, Iran, dedicated to research, presentation, and dialogue across art, literature, and the humanities. Founded in May 2025 by (n)iki Shadloo and Roozbeh Maleki, the platform supports a diverse range of artistic practices through exhibitions, independent publishing, artist books, zines, and research-oriented cultural programs. Since its establishment, Plaque 27 has organized public and private events, curated a photo-based exhibition project, and participated in Tehran’s Bazar Art Books 2025 with a collective presentation of works by 17 artists, bringing together editions produced by the platform alongside selected works by independent artists. At I Never Read, Plaque 27 presents a collective selection of zines and art bundles by 30 artists within a space hosted by Zanbagh Lotfi.
