Alexandra Navratil lives and works in Zurich and Basel. Her work traces intricate material histories, unveiling unexpected connections in a poetic and sensory way, while also shedding light on the corrosive effects of slow violence. In her recent pieces, she focuses on the instrumentalization of nature and the forms of scientific representation in film and photography, drawing from both archival and self-produced imagery. Solo exhibitions include: der TANK in Basel/Münchenstein, A Tale of A Tub in Rotterdam, Kunsthaus Langenthal, Kunst Museum Winterthur, Stedelijk Museum Bureau Amsterdam, and Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris.
