Dr. Francesca Brusa’s work explores feminist deculturalisation, environmental storytelling, and transdisciplinary artistic methodologies. Her research investigates how narrative and sonic practices can generate knowledge and literacy around complex, crisis-ridden ecologies in projects like Metabolic Cosmopolitics (India, 2026), Eart_ض (Morocco, 2024) with collectives Zaira Oram and QANAT, and ORALITURE/MoreThanLandscape with Knowbotiq (IfCAR, 2025). She worked at the Free University of Bolzano (2018 – 2021), at the Zurich University of the Arts (2022 – 2025), and completed her PhD at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and Zeppelin University in 2022. Francesca is curator of OTO Sound Museum and member of the curatorial collective Zaira Oram, investigating sound, resistance, and practices of repair.
