Hannah Weinberger is an artist, based in Basel, whose practice centers on sound, moving image, and site-specific performance and interventions. Her immersive works combine archival material, field recordings, and live improvisation to create open, collaborative compositions. She co-organized the project space Elaine at the Museum of Contemporary Art Basel (2011 – 2013), initiated the Hidden Bar at Art Basel (2018, 2019) and is a founding member and head of the Basel Social Club.
Solo and group presentations include: the Kunstmuseum Solothurn (2023); Centre d’Art Contemporain, Geneva (2019); Centre culturel suisse, Paris (2017); Kunstverein Braunschweig (2017); Schinkel Pavillon, Berlin (2016); Kunstverein Harburger Bahnhof, Hamburg (2015); MIT List Visual Arts Center, Cambridge, Massachusetts (2024); Kunsthaus Bregenz (2014); Lyon Biennale (2013, 2023); Kunsthalle Basel and Swiss Institute, New York (2012). She was on the board of Kunsthalle Basel, a jury member for the Basler Kulturpreis, and serves on the Board of Trustees of Kunstmuseum Basel.
