Katrin Freisager shows a new series of photographs. She explores the fragile relationship between reality and fiction by means of staging with the camera. The picture ‘If Smoke Could Be Water I’ shows a kind of landscape that was created in an analog laboratory. Katrin Freisager handles water, ink, oil and other organic materials and records strange swirls of color and reflections with the camera. Like an alchemist, she creates photographs of micro-spatial situations that are reminiscent of fantastic landscapes, but elude precise references.
